'Tiny' Makeup Haul @ Sephora & ULTA

A few days ago and today, I paid a visit to a couple of my favorite stores: Sephora and ULTA. Obviously these shops have an abundance of products, which is really dangerous, however, I managed to ONLY grab a few essential items.

1. Korres Lip Butter Three-pack $19.50

Korres (www.korres.com) is an awesome line with some of the most nourishing, silky-smooth natural products. I especially love their Lip Butters ($10), and Sephora usually sells these balms in a three-pack deal for $19.50. I have so far purchased two and I absolutely love them. I really like the Jasmine (above) and the Guava (above, unopened). They both deliver a nice 'nude' lip and they smell great. I love wearing some of these Butters on the apples of my cheeks for an easy dewy, creme-blush effect.

2. Korres Vitamin E 10-Color Pencil Kit $32.50

These Vitamin E enriched eyeliners are smooth, creamy, easy to blend and nicely pigmented. The lavender pencil is probably the only sheer one of the bunch (I'm actually going to use it with Violetta by MAC Pro/Venomous Villains). I like all of these, and they would make great eye shadow bases. This is definitely a fantastic deal.

3. EOS Smooth Sphere Organic Lip Balm $3.29

These adorable lip balms stand out because of their unusual packaging. The shape of these lippies allow for full lip coverage. The Lemon Drop has SPF 15 in it and it smells and tastes great. I bought Summer Fruit and Sweet Mint as well, however, they were a bit mediocre. I have yet to try the Honeysuckle Honeydew. These obviously stand out which is why they are becoming popular, AND they are not hard to find in your purse! KUDOOZZ. These balms are said to be long-lasting (kind of...), paraben-free, petroleum-free and pthalate-free (a substance added in products to add longevity, durability, etc.) and gluten-free. These also contain Vitamin E for moisture and shea butter. Cute.

4. Parissa Warm Wax $12.00

Okay, since I'm off Middle Eastern descent, one can only assume (correctly) that I'm peach fuzzy WHICH IS NORMAL :- / Since I plan to be completely hairless like Miss. Kim Kardashian (read her Allure magazine interview), I decided to try waxing my legs (first) then arms for the very first time on my own with the Parissa Warm Wax kit. It comes with a little bottle of Azulene Oil which is supposed to keep your skin moisturized, wax-free and ingrown hair-free. The product information says the results are supposed to last up to 6-8 weeks, but I'm only counting on three-four, which is fine. My skin has remained smooth and the hair is the same if not thinner. It's a great product, but tiring nonetheless.

Cindy Crawford for TSUM

The famous duo, Mert & Marcus photographed one of my favorite models of all time, Cindy Crawford, for Russian retailer, TSUM. This high-end department store carries high-end, luxury brands including Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Christian Louboutin and Stella McCartney which just so happens to be what Crawford wears for the shoot. Below are the campaign shots and some behind the scenes stills.

*SIGHS*

Where can I find that shade of red lipstick, and in what world can I live in with that kind of constant color-correcting? It's definitely a Mert & Marcus trademark, and it makes almost all their subjects look amazing.

Madonna secretly directs a F/W MIU MIU campaign video

Below is a video which HRH Madonna directed for MIU MIU's Fall/Winter collection. She has been really diligent about her directing, while her music-making is slowly drifting off (which I don't mind). She is currently directing a highly stylized film about the once scandalous love affair between England's (abdicated) King Edward VIII and American divorcee, Wallis Simpson. The film is titled W.E. and the release date is unannounced. Below is the MIU MIU video and a few photos of the historic lovers, King Edward and Wallis.

**For all you MAC Dare to Wear 'Sassy Grass' eye shadow lovers: one of the mains models in this video is wearing the same-toned shadow up to her brows. All the gem colors are beautiful.

Dolce Vita for Target

I have always been a huge of Dolce Vita shoes. They are classic, well-made, but of course, quite pricey. Luckily they have partnered with our dear friend, Target. The collection offers some common, basic footwear, mostly flats, which is actually disappointing. I did, however, purchase the calf-hilf, lace up boot today. It is nice, and definitely priced very well ($27.99). See below:

At the location I went to, the shoe below was not available, but it is online for the same price as the pair above.

If you go to your local Target or www.target.com, you'll find that the other shoes in this collection are mediocre, as in we've seen it countless times before.

Hopefully my chub legs don't bust out of of my boots. I'll let you know.

Dog Dyeing

Dear dog-dyeing owners,

Please stop putting your innocent animals through such ridiculous treatment. Your furry one will never be a panda or a tiger or a different dog breed. So please stop dyeing your animals. I don't think anyone will take nicely to seeing a 'tiger' running around my midwestern neighborhood. Chemicals hurt, man.....

Beaute Cosmetics

I can't wait to get my new Weightless Lip Cremes by Canadian luxury brand, Beaute Cosmetics. I already have and love 'Masochist' which I mentioned before on here (with a picture of Leighton Meester wearing it). Below are the two new ones which should be arriving soon.

Below: Modern Love (plum-brown)

Below: Severine (peachy-beige)

Below: Masochist (true tomato red, or as Beaute describes it as 'Helmut Newton' red)
